• Identify basic terms, principles, units, theory and thermodynamics of vapour compression cycles and refrigerants.
• Identify the causes and effects of global warming and climate change.
• Identify causes and effects of ozone depletion.
• Identify stationary refrigerant, air conditioning and heat-pump system components, functions and leakage risk.
• Identify the hazards and safe working practices for the installation, commissioning and handling of refrigerants.
• Fabricate, braze and examine pipework.
• Undertake pressure testing, evacuation and record completion.
• Undertake refrigerant charging, leak checking and record keeping.
• Recovery and disposal preparation of refrigerant and oil. |

| Course Content |
The aim of this course is to provide the experienced engineer with the knowledge, skills and certification to work on the installation, service, maintenance, recovery and leak checking of stationary refrigeration, air conditioning or heat pump equipment that contains refrigerants classified as either fluorinated gasses (F-Gas) or Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS).
Workplace absence is reduced through our innovative blended learning programme, training is delivered with 3 day classroom training and 1 day assessment with:
