| Subjects Taught | Modules: The various subjects/modules covered are listed below. All modules have an equal Credit rating of 5. On-line students take twelve modules [60 Credits] over a two-year period which equates to three to four modules per semester. All students take Statistics in the first semester of enrolment as well as the other modules being offered at the time. | Financial Support | This course has been approved by ULearning Skillnet for a fees subsidy of up to 25% for students whose company is a member of the ULearning Skillnet network.
There are also a limited number of free places available for unemployed students who meet the required criteria by ULearning Skillnet. Please note there are only a limited number of subsidies available for both employed and unemployed students. |
| Course Content | About Quality Management The quality professional is well represented in all sectors of the economy. While manufacturing will use familiar titles such as Quality manager, or quality engineer other sectors may use titles such as transformation manager or change agent, director of quality or even more specific titles like Six-Sigma Black Belt. Quality as a profession is also well supported in the USA by the American Society for Quality [ASQ] and in the UK by The Chartered Quality Institute [CQI]. About this Programme |
| Entry Requirements | Typical entrants to this course will hold a minimum Level 7 degree in engineering, science or business discipline at upper second class honours grade or higher.
Applications will also be considered from those who demonstrate extensive experimental learning [experience] in quality but who do not meet the academic entry requirements. These will be evaluated through our RPL process. |

| Learning Outcomes | Typically, graduates will be employed in the quality function of industries and institutions across all disciplines and sectors of the economy. In Ireland our biggest employers are in the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors. We also see increased interest in healthcare, education, transport, food production and construction.
