The IMDA Skillnet MÓRtm Benchmark Model was officially launched at the IMDA’s Manufacturing to Win Conference in April.  The model is designed to identify and improve lean manufacturing by offering goals against which a company can benchmark itself. Its flexible framework allows it to be highly effective for both SMEs and Multinational Corporations from any industry sector. The IMDA, which is a business association within Ibec, used the model as part of their Lean Mentoring Programme. It guided the highly successful partnership between Waters Technologies and Lake Region Medical, New Ross.

James Browne, Lean Six Sigma Programme Manager, Waters Technologies Ireland and Eddie Kiely, Director of Operations, Lake Region Medical said that one of the key benefits of the partnership was how it took two years off the Waters Technologies’ lean journey as a company.
