Limerick Chamber Skillnet brought a new high-end technical programme to the Mid-West region for the first time recently, with a four day Analog Verification Programme. This innovative course was held in June and attended by analog verification engineers, analog designers, CAD/EDA engineers and others who wanted a working knowledge of analog verification and to improve their skills in Verilog-AMS.

According to Anne Morris, Limerick Chamber Skillnet Network Manager, the course was organised after a member company, ON Semiconductor, identified a need for training among local companies. She explained: “Raheen-based ON Semiconductor is a member of MIDAS Ireland (Microelectronics Industry Design Association) and Limerick Chamber Skillnet.  The MIDAS training committee organises world class training for members that would typically struggle to do themselves, most often in Dublin.  ON Semiconductor realised that there was a demand for this programme in the Limerick region and approached us to see if we could facilitate it.  We were delighted to bring this high-end course to local industry.  This is a perfect example of how Limerick Chamber Skillnet can facilitate enterprise-led training.”

The programme was delivered by Ken Kundart and Henry Chang of Designer’s Guide Consulting – two world class trainers based in California.
